<p>Von der Höhe des 1928 eingeweihten Kriegerdenkmals am Stadtberg eröffnet sich ein großartiges Panorama der ehemaligen Reichsstadt. Von hier aus sind auch weite Teile des Mühlhäuser Umlands zwischen Stadtwald im Westen, Dün im Norden und Heilinger Höhen im Osten zu überschauen. Im Stadtbild ragen die zahlreichen Kirchtürme hervor. Gemeinsam sind sie Wahrzeichen Mühlhausens, das besonders stolz ist auf seine Kirchen, die mit je eigenen Nutzungskonzepten Geschichte und Gegenwart der Stadt verbinden.</p> |

<p>Embedded in the slopes of the city hill the war memorial, inaugurated in 1928, offers a superb panorama of the former Imperial City and its surroundings. From here you can see large parts of Mühlhausen’s hinterland, from the city forest in the west, to <em>Dün</em> in the north and to the <em>Heilinger Höhen </em>in the east. The city’s skyline is characterised by its numerous steeples. They are the landmark of Mühlhausen, which is proud of its churches, each of which links the city’s past to the present in a unique way.</p> |
