Bis zum Ortsausgangsschild folgen Sie dem Briefträgerweg. Durch ein wildromantisches Tal nehmen Sie den Abstieg zur Friedaquelle, wo es sich gut Rasten lässt. Von dieser Stelle aus können Sie bereits das Kloster Zella sehen. Idyllisch liegt das ehemalige Doppelkloster der Benediktiner (1130) in einem Waldtal. Seit 1948 wird es als evangelisches Seniorenwohnheim genutzt. Die Klosteranlage ist auch für Besucher geöffnet. Anschließend führt der Weg durch den Wald. Es werden mehrere Abstecher zum Aussichtspunkt auf dem Kälberberg angeboten, der jedoch bei der Wanderung nicht erreicht wird. Nach etwa 1 km mündet der Hainichlandweg in den Naturpark Leine-Werra. Der Rastplatz und Aussichtspunkt "St. Florian" bietet einen hervorragenden Ausblick auf Lengenfeld unterm Stein mit seinem Viadukt und sämtliche, den Ort umrahmenden, 400er Berge. Nun führt der Weg nach Lengenfeld unterm Stein. Der Weg ist gut markiert. Eine zusätzliche Orientierung bietet auch das Viadukt der einstigen Kanonenbahn. Um auf den Spuren der Kanonenbahn zu bleiben, wandern Sie durch die langgezogene Bahnhofstraße an der katholischen Kirche "St. Mariä Geburt" vorüber zum ehemaligen Bahnhof Lengenfeld unterm Stein, wo sich auch die Haltestation der Erlebnis-Draisine befindet. Etwa 100 m hinter dem Ortausgangsschild Richtung Hildebrandshausen führt ein Weg über Wiesen zu einem weiteren Rastplatz. Von hier schweift der Blick über den Hülfensberg, Geismar und den Rollsberg nach Lengenfeld unterm Stein mit seinem Schloss Bischofstein. Anschließend erreichen Sie Hildebrandshausen. Ein kleines Örtchen im südlichen Eichsfeld an der thüringisch-hessischen Grenze. In der Hauptstraße erfolgt die Trennung vom Naturpark Leine-Werra. Ab hier folgen Sie mit dem Werra-Burgen-Stieg (Markierung: X5) einem weiteren überregionalen Wanderweg. Über einen Wirtschaftsweg verlassen Sie den kleinen Ort und passieren das geschützte Naturdenkmal "Steinbruch bei Hildebrandshausen". An der nächsten Weggabelung folgen Sie dem Kolonnenweg. Den Kolonnenweg sollten Sie nach ca. 700 m links abbiegend verlassen, da Sie sonst zu früh an die B 249 kommen und für etwa 500 m dieser stark frequentierten, zudem bergan führenden Straße ausgesetzt sind. Nach Verlassen des Kolonnenweges kommen Sie über einen holprigen, durch Hecken verlaufenden Wirtschaftsweg zur B 249. Nach Querung der Straße erreichen Sie nahe dem Rasthaus "Grenzblick" einen Feldweg nach Katharinenberg. Nach Besichtigung der gothischen Kirchenruine verlassen Sie den kleinen Ort über die Zollgasse und gehen auf das bereits sichtbare Diedorf zu. In Diedorf wird der schmucke Dorfanger passiert. Über den Bahnhofsweg erreichen Sie den ehemaligen Bahnhof der "Vogteier Bimmelbahn", von dem noch einige Relikte zu sehen sind. Nach vorsichtigem Überqueren der Straße Diedorf - Heyerode erwartet Sie der geschützte Landschaftsbestandteil "Bahneinschnitt". Am Alten Bahnhof Heyerode endet die 3. Etappe des Hainichlandweges.

Plusieurs détours permettent de rejoindre le point de vue sur le Kälberberg, mais celui-ci n'est pas atteint lors de la randonnée. Après environ 1 km, le sentier Hainichlandweg rejoint <a href="https://www.naturpark-ehw.de/aktiv-im-np/wanderwege/naturparkweg-leine-werra.html">le parc naturel Leine-Werra</a>. L'aire de repos et le point de vue <b>"St. Florian"</b> offrent une excellente vue sur Lengenfeld unterm Stein avec son viaduc et toutes les montagnes de 400 m qui entourent la ville. Maintenant la piste mène à <b>Lengenfeld unterm Stein</b>. Le chemin est bien balisé. Le viaduc de l'ancien chemin de fer à canon fournit également une orientation supplémentaire. Pour rester sur <b>les rails du chemin de fer à canon</b>, traversez la longue Bahnhofstraße, passez devant l'église catholique "St. Mariä Geburt" jusqu'à l'ancienne gare Lengenfeld unterm Stein, où se trouve également l'arrêt du <b>trolley d'aventure</b>. Environ 100 m après le panneau de sortie en direction de Hildebrandshausen, un chemin mène à travers des prairies à une autre aire de repos. De là, la vue s'étend sur le Hülfensberg, Geismar et Rollsberg jusqu'à Lengenfeld unterm Stein et son château Bischofstein. Vous atteignez ensuite <b>Hildebrandshausen</b>. Petit village situé au sud d'Eichsfeld, à la frontière entre la Thuringe et la Hesse. La route principale vous sépare du parc naturel Leine-Werra. De là, vous suivez le Werra-Burgen-Stieg (marquage : X5), un autre chemin de randonnée suprarégional. Quitter la petite ville par un chemin de ferme et passer devant le monument naturel protégé <b>"Steinbruch bei Hildebrandshausen"</b> (carrière près de Hildebrandshausen). À la fourche suivante, suivre le Kolonnenweg. Vous devez quitter le Kolonnenweg après environ 700 m, en tournant à gauche, car sinon vous atteindrez la B 249 trop tôt et serez exposé à cette route très fréquentée, qui monte également, pendant environ 500 m. Après avoir quitté le Kolonnenweg, vous rejoignez la B 249 par un chemin de ferme cahoteux traversant des haies. Après avoir traversé la route, vous atteignez un chemin de campagne vers <b>Katharinenberg</b> près de la maison de repos "Grenzblick". Après avoir visité les ruines de l'église gothique, quittez le petit village par la Zollgasse et dirigez-vous vers <b>Diedorf</b>, qui est déjà visible. À Diedorf, vous passez par le joli vert du village. Par le Bahnhofsweg, vous atteignez l'ancienne gare du "Vogteier Bimmelbahn", dont on peut encore voir quelques vestiges. Après avoir traversé avec précaution la route Diedorf - Heyerode, l'élément paysager <b>protégé "Bahneinschnitt"</b> vous attend. La 3e étape du Hainichlandweg se termine à l'ancienne gare de <b>Heyerode.</b></p>

Follow the letter carrier's path until you reach the sign at the end of the village. Through a wildly romantic valley you take the descent to <b>Friedaquelle</b>, where it is good to rest. From this point you can already see the <b>Zella monastery</b>. The former double monastery of the Benedictines (1130) lies idyllically in a forest valley. Since 1948, it has been used as a Protestant retirement home. The monastery complex is also open to visitors. Afterwards, the path leads through the forest. There are several detours to the lookout point on the Kälberberg, which, however, is not reached during the hike. After about 1 km, the Hainichland Trail joins the <a href="https://www.naturpark-ehw.de/aktiv-im-np/wanderwege/naturparkweg-leine-werra.html">Leine-Werra Nature Park</a>. The resting place and vantage point <b>"St. Florian"</b> offers an excellent view of Lengenfeld unterm Stein with its viaduct and all the 400m mountains surrounding the village. Now the path leads to <b>Lengenfeld unterm Stein</b>. The path is well marked. Additional orientation is provided by the <b>viaduct</b> of the former Kanonenbahn. To stay on the tracks of the Kanonenbahn, walk through the long Bahnhofstraße past the Catholic church "St. Mariä Geburt" to the former train station Lengenfeld unterm Stein, where you will also find the stop of the <b>adventure trolley</b>. About 100 m behind the exit sign in the direction of Hildebrandshausen, a path leads across meadows to another rest area. From here, the view sweeps over the Hülfensberg, Geismar and the Rollsberg to Lengenfeld unterm Stein with its Bischofstein Castle. Afterwards you will reach <b>Hildebrandshausen</b>. A small village in the southern Eichsfeld on the Thuringian-Hessian border. In the main street the separation from the nature park Leine-Werra takes place. From here you follow the Werra-Burgen-Stieg (marking: X5), another supra-regional hiking trail. Via a farm track you leave the small village and pass the protected natural monument <b>"Quarry near Hildebrandshausen"</b>. At the next fork in the road, follow the Kolonnenweg. You should leave the Kolonnenweg after about 700 m turning left, otherwise you will reach the B 249 too early and will be exposed for about 500 m to this heavily frequented road, which also leads uphill.
