About: Uhlstädt

Le plus grand village de la commune (180 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, 827 habitants) est mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 1083 sous le nom d'Olstede. Des découvertes au sol datant du début de l'âge de fer (culture de Hallstatt) attestent toutefois d'une colonisation celte dès le 7e/6e siècle avant J.-C.. En 1710, Uhlstädt obtint le droit de marché. En tant que lieu de flottage du bois, le bourg était connu loin à la ronde sur la Saale. Une usine de porcelaine y a fonctionné de 1837 à 1990. Des parties de l'église datent du 12ème siècle. L'aqueduc construit en 1786 pour conduire l'Uhlsbach au-dessus de la Mühllache, les restes d'un moulin à eau avec une rare installation à deux roues et une pierre héraldique de la famille von Kochberg datant de 1532 sur une maison à côté de l'ancienne école avec les lettres V.D.M.I.E., les premières lettres de la devise protestante "Verbum domini manet in aeterum", traduite par : "La parole de Dieu reste pour l'éternité", valent le détour. De peu avant le tournant du siècle jusqu'en 1910, la poétesse régionale thuringienne Marthe Renate Fischer (1851 - 1925) a vécu et travaillé à Uhlstädt. C'est de là qu'elle a parcouru les charmants environs de son lieu de résidence et qu'elle a écrit ses principaux romans, dans lesquels se reflète la vie de l'époque à Uhlstädt et dans ses environs. L'épisode "La descente du radeau", tiré de son roman "Das Patenkind", faisait partie intégrante des livres de lecture de Thuringe dans les années 20 et 30 du siècle dernier. La vie sociale d'Uhlstadt est largement organisée par la chorale (avec un chœur d'hommes et un chœur de femmes), l'association sportive, le club des jeunes d'Uhlstädt e.V., l'association des pompiers et l'association des flotteurs de bois. Un nouveau centre sportif et associatif a été inauguré en 1995. Des terrains de jeu de balle et de tennis, une piste de bowling et une salle de badminton sont à disposition. Le musée du flottage du bois et l'office du tourisme se trouvent à proximité immédiate du centre sportif. À Uhlstädt, il y a des chambres d'hôtes, plusieurs restaurants et des salles pour les manifestations. Depuis Kirchhasel ou Weißen, il est possible d'entreprendre des excursions touristiques en radeau de plusieurs heures vers Uhlstädt. Une fête interrégionale des flotteurs est organisée à la Pentecôte, les années impaires, ainsi que des fêtes de chanteurs et une kermesse. Uhlstädt dispose de plusieurs magasins, de cabinets médicaux et dentaires, d'une pharmacie et d'institutions financières. Il y a une école primaire publique ainsi qu'une garderie de la Volkssolidarität e.V. et un foyer pour enfants et adolescents de l'Arbeiterwohlfahrt. La lande d'Uhlstadt, une zone forestière légendaire, avec ses arbres et ses animaux remarquables, ses sentiers de randonnée confortables, ses refuges et son sentier naturel, a toujours été une destination pour les randonneurs, tout comme le Kienberg et le Kreuzenberg, situés au nord d'Uhlstädt. Depuis la petite maison du Kienberg, on a une vue magnifique sur la vallée de la Saale et la lande jusqu'aux crêtes de la forêt de Thuringe. Uhlstädt, avec les quartiers d'Oberkrossen, Kleinkrossen, Partschefeld, Rückersdorf, Weißbach et Weißen, est une station de repos reconnue par l'État.

The largest village in the municipality (180 m above sea level, 827 inhabitants) was first mentioned in a document in 1083 as Olstede. However, finds from the early Iron Age (Hallstatt culture) indicate a Celtic settlement as early as the 7th/6th century BC. In 1710, Uhlstädt was granted market rights. As a rafting town, the market town was widely known on the Saale. A porcelain factory existed from 1837 to 1990. Parts of the church date back to the 12th century. Worth seeing are the aqueduct built in 1786 to carry the Uhlsbach over the Mühllache, the remains of a water mill with a rare double-wheel system, and a coat-of-arms stone of the von Kochberg family from 1532 on a house next to the old school with the letters V.D.M.I.E., the first letters of the Protestant slogan "Verbum domini manet in aeterum", translated: "The word of God remains in eternity". From shortly before the turn of the century until 1910, the Thuringian regional poet Marthe Renate Fischer (1851 - 1925) lived and worked in Uhlstädt. From here, she hiked the charming surroundings of her place of residence and wrote her most important novels, which reflect life in and around Uhlstädt at that time. The episode "Die Floßfahrt" (The Raft Trip) from her novel "Das Patenkind" (The Godchild) was an integral part of the Thuringian reading books in the 1920s and 1930s. The social life of Uhlstädt is significantly shaped by the choir community (with men's and women's choir), the sports club, the youth club Uhlstädt e.V., the fire department association and the rafting club. A new sports and club center was opened in 1995. Ball games and tennis courts, a bowling alley and a hall for badminton are available. In the immediate vicinity of the sports center is the rafting museum with tourist information. In Uhlstädt there are guest rooms, several restaurants and halls for events. Tourist raft trips lasting several hours can be made from Kirchhasel or Weißen to Uhlstädt. A supra-regional rafting festival is celebrated every Whitsun in the odd-numbered years, as well as singers' festivals and the fair. Uhlstädt has several shopping facilities, medical and dental practices, a pharmacy and financial institutions. There is a state elementary school in the village as well as a day care center run by Volkssolidarität e.V. and a children's and youth home run by Arbeiterwohlfahrt. The Uhlstädter Heide, a legendary forest area, with its remarkable tree and animal population, comfortable hiking trails, shelters and a nature trail has always been a destination for hikers, as well as the Kienberg and the Kreuzenberg, located in the north of Uhlstädt. From the Kienberg cottage you have a magnificent view over the Saale valley and the heath to the mountain ranges of the Thuringian Forest. Uhlstädt with its districts Ober- und Kleinkrossen, Partschefeld, Rückersdorf, Weißbach and Weißen is a state-approved resort.

Der größte Ort der Gemeinde (180 m ü. NN, 827 Einwohner) wird 1083 als Olstede erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Bodenfunde aus der frühen Eisenzeit (Hallstattkultur) weisen jedoch eine keltische Besiedlung schon im 7./6. Jh. v.Chr. nach. 1710 bekam Uhlstädt das Marktrecht verliehen. Als Flößereiort war der Marktflecken weithin an der Saale bekannt. Eine Porzellanfabrik bestand von 1837 bis 1990. Teile der Kirche stammen aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Sehenswert sind das 1786 errichtete Aquädukt, mit dem der Uhlsbach über die Mühllache geführt wird, die Reste einer Wassermühle mit seltener Doppelradanlage und ein Wappenstein derer von Kochberg aus dem Jahre 1532 an einem Haus neben der alten Schule mit den Buchstaben V.D.M.I.E., den Anfangsbuchstaben der protestantischen Losung „Verbum domini manet in aeterum“, übersetzt: „Das Wort Gottes bleibt in Ewigkeit“. Von kurz vor der Jahrhundertwende bis 1910 wohnte und arbeitete die Thüringer Heimatdichterin Marthe Renate Fischer (1851 – 1925) in Uhlstädt. Von hier aus erwanderte sie die reizvolle Umgebung ihres Wohnortes und schrieb ihre wichtigsten Romane, in denen sich das damalige Leben in und um Uhlstädt widerspiegelt. Die Episode „Die Floßfahrt“ aus ihrem Roman „Das Patenkind“ war in den 20er und 30er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts fester Bestandteil der Thüringer Lesebücher. Das Leben Uhlstädts wird maßgeblich von der Chorgemeinschaft (mit Männer- und Frauenchor), dem Sportverein, dem Jugendclub Uhlstädt e.V., dem Feuerwehrverein und dem Flößerverein gestaltet. Ein neues Sport- und Vereinszentrum wurde 1995 seiner Bestimmung übergeben. Ballspiel- und Tennisplätze, eine Kegelbahn und eine Halle für Badminton stehen zur Verfügung. In unmittelbare Nähe des Sportzentrums befindet sich das Flößereimuseum mit der Touristinformation. In Uhlstädt gibt es Fremdenzimmer, mehrere Gaststätten und Säle für Veranstaltungen. Von Kirchhasel oder Weißen aus können mehrstündige touristische Floßfahrten nach Uhlstädt unternommen werden. Ein überregionales Flößerfest wird jeweils zu Pfingsten in den ungeraden Jahren gefeiert, ferner Sängerfeste und die Kirmes. Uhlstädt hat mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Arzt- und Zahnarztpraxen, eine Apotheke und Geldinstitute. Es gibt im Ort eine staatliche Grundschule sowie eine Kindertagesstätte der Volkssolidarität e.V. und ein Kinder- und Jugendheim der Arbeiterwohlfahrt. Die Uhlstädter Heide, ein sagenumwobenes Waldgebiet, mit ihrem beachtenswerten Baum- und Tierbestand, bequemen Wanderwegen, Schutzhütten und einem Naturlehrpfad ist schon immer ein Ziel Wanderlustiger gewesen, ebenso wie der im Norden von Uhlstädt gelegene Kienberg und der Kreuzenberg. Vom Kienberghäuschen aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick über das Saaletal und die Heide bis zu den Höhenzügen des Thüringer Waldes. Uhlstädt ist mit den Ortsteilen Ober- und Kleinkrossen, Partschefeld, Rückersdorf, Weißbach und Weißen staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort.
