Ebersdorf a district of the town Saalburg-Ebersdorf, it is 520 meters above sea level at the north-south foothills of the Thuringian and Franconian Forest. From it gradually developed a well-known and gladly visited recreation place of Thuringia. A large, beautiful park, pleasant air, forest and water in immediate nearness, well signposted footpaths, opportunity for the navigation on the reservoir, are good preconditions for a restful stay in Ebersdorf. The village was first mentioned in 1401. 1692-1694 a castle was built by the prince Reuß j. L. a castle was built, which then became residence. During the last reconstruction it received the classicistic column front. For several years it was used as a nursing home, the Reuß family returned to Ebersdorf.

Ebersdorf est un quartier de la ville de Saalburg-Ebersdorf, situé à 520 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer sur les contreforts nord-sud de la forêt de Thuringe et de Franconie. Il s'est progressivement développé pour devenir un lieu de villégiature connu et populaire en Thuringe. Un grand et beau parc, un air agréable, des bois et de l'eau dans les environs immédiats, des sentiers de randonnée bien balisés et la possibilité de faire une excursion en bateau sur le réservoir sont de bonnes conditions pour un séjour relaxant à Ebersdorf. Le village est mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 1401. En 1692-1694, un château a été construit par le prince Reuß j. L., qui est ensuite devenu la résidence. Ebersdorf ein Ortsteil der Stadt Saalburg-Ebersdorf, es liegt 520 Meter über NN an den nordsüdlichen Ausläufern des Thüringer Waldes und Frankenwaldes. Daraus entwickelte sich allmählich ein bekannter und gern besuchter Erholungsort in Thüringen. Ein großer, schöner Park, angenehme Luft, Wald und Wasser in unmittelbarer Nähe, gut ausgeschilderte Wanderwege und Gelegenheit zur Schifffahrt auf dem Stausee sind gute Vorbedingungen für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in Ebersdorf. Erstmals wurde der Ort 1401 urkundlich erwähnt. 1692-1694 wurde durch den Fürsten Reuß j. L. ein Schloss erbaut, welches dann Residenz wurde. Beim letzten Umbau erhielt es die klassizistische Säulenfront. Mehrere Jahre wurde es als Pflegeheim genutzt.
