Stets in Wassernähe fahren wir von der Domstadt Erfurt aus in drei Tagesetappen durch das nördlichste Weinanbaugebiet Deutschlands. Dabei erleben wir die ganze landschaftliche Vielfalt der Region: ruhig fließende Flüsse, malerische Weinberge, weite Felder und schöne Aussichten. Wir kommen durch historische Städte und gemütliche kleine Dörfer, die zum Erkunden und Verweilen einladen. Die vielen alten Burgen, Kirchen und Klöster sowie verschiedene Museen und bedeutende archäologische Fundstellen locken auch Kulturbegeisterte und Hobby-Historiker in die Region. Zunächst radeln wir von Erfurt aus auf dem Gera-Radweg in Richtung Norden bis nach Ringleben, dann auf dem Unstrut-Radweg weiter über Sömmerda bis nach Artern. Dort macht die Unstrut einen großen Bogen und fließt in südöstlicher Richtung weiter. Vorbei an den Orten Nebra, Laucha und Freyburg geht es immer am Fluss entlang weiter, bis wir in Naumburg den Zusammenfluss der Unstrut mit der Saale erreichen. Auf dem Saale-Radwanderweg fahren wir entlang von Weinbergen weiter bis nach Großheringen. Dort verlassen wir die Saale und folgen dem Ilmtal-Radwanderweg über Bad Sulza bis in die Klassikstadt Weimar. Der Radfernweg Thüringer Städtekette führt uns schließlich zurück nach Erfurt.

Always riding close to the water, we cycle from the cathedral city of Erfurt in three daily stages through Germany's northernmost wine-growing region. Along the way, we experience the full landscape diversity of the region: gently flowing rivers, picturesque vineyards, wide fields, and beautiful views. We pass through historic towns and cozy small villages that invite exploration and relaxation. The many old castles, churches, and monasteries, as well as various museums and significant archaeological sites, also attract culture enthusiasts and hobby historians to the region. We first cycle from Erfurt on the Gera cycle path heading north to Ringleben, then continue on the Unstrut cycle path via Sömmerda to Artern. There, the Unstrut makes a large bend and flows southeast. Passing the towns of Nebra, Laucha, and Freyburg, we continue along the river until we reach Naumburg, where the Unstrut joins the Saale. On the Saale cycle path, we ride along vineyards to Großheringen. There we leave the Saale and follow the Ilm valley cycle path via Bad Sulza to the classical city of Weimar. Finally, the Thuringian city chain long-distance cycle path leads us back to Erfurt.

Toujours près de l'eau, nous partons de la ville cathédrale d'Erfurt en trois étapes journalières à travers la région viticole la plus septentrionale d'Allemagne. Nous traversons des villes historiques et des petits villages charmants qui invitent à la découverte et à la détente. Les nombreux vieux châteaux, églises et monastères ainsi que différents musées et sites archéologiques importants attirent également les amateurs de culture et les historiens du dimanche dans la région. Nous commençons par pédaler depuis Erfurt sur la piste cyclable de la Gera en direction du nord jusqu'à Ringleben, puis sur la piste cyclable de l'Unstrut via Sömmerda jusqu'à Artern. Là, l'Unstrut fait une grande boucle et coule vers le sud-est. En passant par les localités de Nebra, Laucha et Freyburg, nous longeons toujours la rivière jusqu'à Naumburg, où l'Unstrut rejoint la Saale. Sur la piste cyclable de la Saale, nous continuons à travers les vignobles jusqu'à Großheringen. Là, nous quittons la Saale et suivons la piste cyclable de la vallée de l'Ilm via Bad Sulza jusqu'à la ville classique de Weimar. La voie cyclable longue distance Thüringer Städtekette nous ramène finalement à Erfurt.
