L'association touristique du Harz est l'organisation de marketing touristique officiellement reconnue pour l'ensemble du Harz. Le territoire de l'association s'étend sur les parties du Harz situées en Basse-Saxe, en Saxe-Anhalt et en Thuringe. L'organisation a été fondée en 1904 à Bad Lauterberg et travaille à nouveau pour l'ensemble de la région depuis 1990. L'association a son siège à Goslar. L'association compte actuellement environ 300 membres et partenaires - dont les districts du Harzland, les villes et les communes, les établissements d'hébergement ainsi que les institutions touristiques. S'y ajoutent d'autres entreprises impliquées dans le tourisme, telles que des imprimeries et des agences réceptives, mais aussi des banques. L'association touristique du Harz (HTV), en tant qu'organisation faîtière du tourisme dans le Harz, considère que sa mission première est de gérer efficacement la destination. Pour ce faire, il est tributaire d'une coopération étroite avec les communes et les prestataires de services.

Der Harzer Tourismusverband ist die offiziell anerkannte touristische Marketingorganisation für den Gesamtharz. Das Verbandsgebiet erstreckt sich über die Harzteile in Niedersachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen. Die Organisation wurde 1904 in Bad Lauterberg gegründet und ist seit 1990 wieder für die Gesamtregion tätig. Der Verband hat seinen Sitz in Goslar. Der Verein zählt derzeit rund 300 Mitglieder und Partner – darunter die Harzlandkreise, Städte und Kommunen, Beherbergungsbetriebe sowie touristische Einrichtungen. Hinzu kommen weitere am Tourismus beteiligte Unternehmen wie Druckereien und Incoming-Agenturen aber auch Banken. Der Harzer Tourismusverband (HTV) als Dachorganisation im Harz-Tourismus sieht primär seine Aufgabe im wirkungsvollen Destinationsmanagement. Dabei ist er auf eng verzahnte Kooperationen mit Kommunen und Leistungsträgern angewiesen.
